As co-chair of the 2022 Met Gala, Blake Lively was always set to steal the show, and her much-anticipated look didn’t disappoint. She arrived on the red carpet in a regal Atelier Versace gown symbolizing the Empire State Building, with her coordinating crown paying homage to the Statue of Liberty.

Her hairstyle carried the drama perfectly: the tiara was propped up against a semi-hidden braid, while the length was styled in rippling waves cascading down her back.

It was all thanks to celebrity hairstylist Jennifer Yepez, who used Dyson tools on the star’s long locks, coining the mood ‘Versace Barbie’.

For Lively’s make-up, artist Kristofer Buckle used Charlotte Tilbury make-up. Sticking to the Costume Institute’s ‘Gilded Glamor’ themeit combined pops of jewel tones with a glowing complexion.

As well as using the Airbrush Flawless Foundation and Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk on the skin, Tilbury explains that “Kristofer created a wash of rose gold and copper on the eyes using my Eyes to Mesmerise in Chocolate Bronze combined with my Luxury Palette of Pops in Pillow Talk for an opulent, sparkling metallic eye”.
